Iyinoluwa Samuel Aboyeji (born March 28, 1991) is a Nigerian entrepreneur and technology executive best known as the co-founder of Andela and Flutterwave[1]. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Aboyeji grew up in humble circumstances, living with his maternal grandmother in Yaba, Lagos, where he helped support the family by selling cheese in local markets[2]. He attended St. Saviour's Primary School in Ebute-Metta before completing his secondary education at Loyola Jesuit College in Abuja in 2007[3]. He later pursued higher education at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies[4].

In 2014, Aboyeji co-founded Andela, which became Africa's largest engineering organization, training and employing thousands of software developers across the continent[5]. The company attracted significant investment from notable backers including Mark Zuckerberg's Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and Google Ventures[6]. In 2016, despite Andela's success trajectory toward unicorn status, Aboyeji made the bold decision to leave and co-found Flutterwave with Olugbenga "GB" Agboola[7]. As the founding CEO and Managing Director of Flutterwave from 2016 to 2018, he led the payments technology company to process over $2 billion across more than 50 million transactions, establishing it as one of the fastest-growing fintech companies globally[8]. The company attracted investment from major players including Y Combinator, Greycroft, and Mastercard[9].

After departing Flutterwave in October 2018, Aboyeji founded Future Africa in March 2019, which has become one of Africa's largest seed-stage investment platforms, investing millions of dollars into over a hundred startups across the continent[10]. His entrepreneurial achievements have earned him numerous accolades, including recognition as a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree in 2018[11], a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader[12], and inclusion in New African magazine's Top 100 Most Influential Africans list in 2019[13]. He has also served his country in various capacities, including as the youngest member of Nigeria's Presidential Council on Industrial Policy and Competitiveness and as Deputy Director General for Obiageli Ezekwesili's 2019 presidential campaign[14].
